Last night in the top of the ninth inning, chants of USA,USA erupted from the stands of Citizens Bank BallPark in Philly. This chant broke due to the news of the death of Osama Bin Laden by US Special Forces in Pakistan.

The “U-S-A, U-S-A” chants began at Citizens Bank Park in the ninth inning on Sunday night, as Daniel Murphy batted as a pinch-hitter against Philadelphia Phillies reliever Ryan Madson. The news spread and the pockets of chants continued, until the news had filtered throughout the place and it reached a crescendo later in the inning that Osama bin Laden had been killed by U.S. special forces.
I just want to thank all our U.S. Armed Forces who are abroad keeping us safe. I also want to thank all our veterans for doing the same in the past for us. Thank you all.
