The Brewers are taking $1 off their OF loge ticket prices with each win in May. The seats start at $30.
In 2009 a similar promotion and 18 wins knocked the price down to $10.
This reminds me of my proposed Undefeated Tuesdays promotion
Fannies in the seats buy hot dogs and blue caps.
I like that Undefeated Tuesdays promotion. I’m not saying that because I would get that package were it available, but because it’s a great marketing strategy. A ticket given away for free generates more revenue at the ballpark than an empty seat. To be eligible for the promotion, you’d have to be either a full or partial tuesday plan holder. You’re not going to sell more plans of that type than you would have empty seats for the next non-Friday-Sunday game. You give value to those fans who would purchase a 6 or 13 game plan of that type because they know in advance they’d get a few extra games thrown in. The Mets read this blog – they should take notice. Unfortunately, they’re not the Yankees where they’ll still get 40,000+ for a random early season Tuesday against a Central Division team.
