The article mentions that 30,000 seats have been sold, Dave Howard says it is an expensive event to do but it will profitable, and they are working on one more soccer game.
I’d like to see the New New York Cosmos play in the MLS in Queens. I imagine regular soccer would destroy the grass..but maybe some day there will be something nicer looking than tire shops on the other side of 126th.

what condition is the field going to end up after this? Will players end up getting hurt even more because of it’s condition? Because if they do, we see how great the medical staff is at Citi.
That was the exact same thing that first came to my mind. Why can’t they just play on the field as-is (sans mound), like football teams do in shared stadiums?
My second thought was, if this is truly profitable for the Wilpons, and they want to keep doing it, will that be an extra motivation to keep right-center and right field walls as-is to provide enough space?
