How many showed up?
Count it as a good crowd & be glad the Mets finances are not going to affect your livelihood.
Everybody has a great hiding spot in that ballpark!
Is it me or has anybody else lost interest in Interleague play! I have to say that this homestand with the Halos and A’s does absolutly nothing for me!
I am tuning into the college World Series!
Lets go Gators!!!…LETS GO METS!
I think that it’s important to distinguish between choice of opponents. People want to see regional rivals, or rivals that have some resonating importance. As a NY Mets fan, most people are probably going to be interested in seeing the Yankees, the Red Sox, the Phillies, the Dodgers, and the Giants. To the extent that interleague brings the Royals into contact with the Cardinals, or the Cubs into contact with the White Sox, or the Yankees/Red Sox into contact with the Mets, it makes for games that many fans are going to care about. Whereas, what Mets fan really cares about the Marlins, Brewers, Twins, Angels, Diamondbacks, Mariners, Padres, etc.? They have to realign around regionality, to spark interest in these matchups.
Just got back from the Bison vs Tides game! Mitsch pitched a gem, 16-2 after 8, called due to rain. I sat on the 3rd base line, will post pics if you guys want.
