This was the first game in the Yankees-esque block lettered roadies. They wouldn’t get the road uniform right until 1995, then ruin it forever in 98.
Yeah, those 1988 road unis were horrible…don’t give up on the current roads. All they have to do is eliminate the stupid drop shadow and you have a great uni…go back to varsity font on the numbers and you have perfection:

I can’t remember the first 3 digits of my wife’s cell phone number half the time, but I remember they later said that ball would’ve gone 520 feet if it hadn’t hit anything.
I do miss the “low 5.”
