25 years ago today was one of the great days in New York Mets history.
The great Lee Mazzilli returned from exile to join the 1986 Mets and win a World Series.
Sure he was wearing a strange number (13) that never seemed right, but Lee was back and all was OK in the world.
This and the Endy Jersey, are reminders of a great season for us, even though…well, we all know what happened….
This jersey was certainly ugly, but it was still the best looking Mets BP set since they insisted Black was a Mets color back in 98.
