Good to see Pedro Lopez gets it. I bet he wouldn’t start guys at first base when they have no future there.
St. Lucie manager Pedro Lopez came out to talk with Wheeler in the fifth inning with runners on first and second and one out. Lopez left him in, and Wheeler’s 82nd pitch was drilled to second baseman J.B. Brown to start an inning-ending double play.
“I went out there to see how he felt, and I knew his pitch-count was up. But I wanted him to face that guy. My idea was No. 1, see how he was feeling. He said he felt fine. For his development, he needed to face that guy and get the double play,” Lopez said.

I think I may go down and see him pitch before the season ends. Since they won the first half, they are also in the playoffs.
I will send some pics up if I do!
