What Mets fans talk about when not talking about the actual games.

While a nice looking concept. The simple answer is no. Multiple exits would need to cut in wall for seat access (pesky fire code)and who knows what is infrastructure (pipes, air ducting, electrical conduits) is going on behind the wall. Plus the biggest problem is right at the 384ft mark http://goo.gl/2aMAH that is the only access point to get equipment and material out to the field area.
All those things could be addressed but it would cost money they don’t have. I personally don’t like the idea of people sitting there anyway. I’ve never been a fan of allowing people to be able to interfere.
Much ado about nothing:

IF they must change the field, though, I prefer something like that to just putting a line on the wall. They wouldn’t even have to add seats, just plant some flowers or something.
