Not quite sure what the NY Post was going after with their front page picture:
By the way, notice the heading on the front page – yes that’s right, the Post “hired” Steinbrenner to write about the Mets during their playoff run. Two thoughts there. This shows what a shrewd master of the media The Boss was as even with the Mets ruling the town, he still managed to get on the front page. Second, can you even imagine Fred writing about the Yankees?
After that the Daily News covers seem tame (Battle Plan? really?)
