Report: Sterling Equities joint venture to build mall next to Citi Field

In a sudden departure from its long-held plans, the Bloomberg administration has struck a deal with a developer and the owners of the Mets to build a 1.4-million-square-foot mall and parking garage in Queens next to Citi Field, as well as a 200-room hotel and stores on the other side of the stadium.

  1. Thanks for posting this, must have missed the article. I’ve been keeping tabs on the Willets Point redevelopment for quite some time now. According to this article, the original plans for the 62 acre site will now change, I’d be curious to see what they will now be.
