Ghost Town -Citi Field

I went to the Mets vs the Rockies at Citi Field last night. It really was a ghost town. All the “busier” concession stands that always have lines were not as busy as usual. I walked by the pastrami sandwich stand.They usually have two lines set up with a good amount of people standing on them. They had one line and only four customers lined up. Keith’s Grill(which I personally don’t think the burgers are that great) had no one on line the three times I walked by it. That stand on field level always has folks on line.

Pat La Frieda Steak Sandwich stand(my personal fav now.knocking off the pastrami in the # 1 spot) – I flew through it in 30 seconds. Last couple of times it was a 10 minute wait. Even the Shake Shack wasn’t as busy as normal, it still had a big line but not the usual I give up line.

It seems to me the interest in this Mets team for this year is over. I still have five games left in my 20 game plan. I won’t be in town this weekend to use my tickets for Saturday. My buddy Randy from Readtheapple.com is going to use my tix and get me a Piazza Bobble head so I can complete my 50th anniversary collection. I might go to tonight’s game. I still love spending time at the park maybe I will see some of you there.

  1. The 70’s had Grant’s Tomb. The 10’s have Fred’s Tomb [more expensive, and deeply in debt}
