***Goon here. Shannon posted this story, but I wanted to make a comment on it. I went to Strawberry’s a few times. I really enjoyed their menu and the atmosphere there. That is, until they changed the menu to a more upscale style. They got rid of the the staples a lot of people enjoyed  and then made the staff where button down black shirts. The Sports bar and restaurant feel went away after that. I was there for the All Star Game this year and it was a ghost town. I met Michael Strawberry and he seemed like a very nice guy who really cared about the patrons and their enjoyment at the restaurant. It is a shame that it closed today. It was nice to have place like that in Queens. Oh well.
