Cut4 caught up with my favorite of the Mets mascots, Mettle the Mule (who by the way was rudely excluded from all celebrations this season. Come on Mets, you can’t hide the past, it only makes me blog MORE.)
Cut4: Did you have a favorite aspect of being a mascot in Queens?
Mettle: Aw shucks, I think the whole experience was really somethin’ special. I’m just happy they chose me. I’m sure there were a buncha’ other mules up for the job. I think the players were pretty nice to me. They left all kinds of sunflower seeds and nuts for me to eat after the game. Mostly shells though. Really just a fine thing to do.
