Remember we heard there was going to be an “interview cap” (aka post game cap, it’s unclear to me the proper term or usage).
Well, Mazzy Award winning Blog of The Year MetsBro has posted this monstrosity.
Yuck yuck yuck yuck yuckity yuck yuck yuck yuck. I demand they bring back the hybrid caps immediately to replace these!
Yuck.
Anyway MetsBro has yet to miss on a uniform story so while its possible this is wrong I wouldn’t bet against him.
Yuck. MetsBro, I hope you finally got a scoop wrong.
…
UPDATE: “sources” say this will be an optional cap. Someone could choose to wear it, but they won’t be forced to. So it’s somehow even more stupid that it exists. Try and imagine this on Terry Collins after a bad loss without laughing.
Okay fellas, we appreciate the fact that you’ve been trying real hard to use more blue and orange (and white) in the uniform designs, but I think it’s time to dial it back a touch.
I think I read that this is a cross-MLB thing. Maybe the Mets are figuring that if they make the cap so hideous that nobody buys it then MLB will kill this stupid idea.
From what I have heard, this isa league wide design across the MLB interview cap to be held at press conferences and interviews.
Hey, you think the AL teams have their league logo on the right-rear?
The black caps don’t look so bad now–lol
My Little League team had better caps than those.
