The Mets have finally come around to half-way reasonable pricing. You will be able to attend Opening Day for $39 in a seat where you may only be able to see 8 of the defensive players. (I’m told it’s geometry.)
This begs the question why the Mets tried to gouge had value meet pricing all winter long. The diehards, the people who will buy tickets the second they are available, weree faced with a $63 price point.
Why couldn’t the Mets have offered 15 game plans that included the $39 OD seats? Were the Mets fearful that the packages would sell out? Isn’t every seat sold the goal of having the event?
I don’t get this one. Hopefully the Mets will do better next time. General onsale is Friday,
