Ticket receipts from Citi Field’s most expensive 10,635 seats — the biggest source of revenue — fell nearly 13 percent to $43.9 million from $50.5 million in 2011. Advertising revenue also fell, to $44.2 million from $46.1 million. Luxury suite revenue took a small hit, dropping from $7.7 million to $7.5 million. But revenue from concessions, parking and “other” increased.

Revenue on the 10,000 most expensive seats has gone down; however, revenue for “OTHER” (i.e. the other 35,000 seats) and CONCESSIONS went up…
Sounds to me that overall revenue has gone up, but the author wants you to think otherwise???
Pretty sneakily written if you ask me. Statistics can be manipulated any way you want them in order to paint a different picture. How about ALL of the facts instead of just the negative ones???
Am I correct to take from this that the Mets are making less money from the wine and cheese crowd and more from people cheering on the Mets? I could be wrong, just how I’m seeing it.
