Maybe after all the gear was stolen and sold by the clubhouse guy found guilty of such behavior (was it Charlie Samuels?), that’s all that was left in Mike’s locker to wear.
If you take away the black trim & armpit panels, the orange jersey is actually defensible. That said, the first part of that last sentence excuses almost anything.
Chief, you have to ask why? Once again, we were told Mets’ uniforms in 2012…yet they found every excuse to continue to wear Dodger colors as much as possible, and are continuing the practice this spring.
