For newer readers, we pretty much do this all year. It is what it is. The pictures tell the story. This post will be updated as I get more.
@dailystache took this one at 6:56pm. I am sure people are just hanging out on Shea Bridge.
@eric_sternberg at 7:07
@mets_bro sent this one at 7:15
David sent this in earlier, at 6:55
@JoeLoVerde81 sent this Bottom 3
and were people hanging on the bridge? That could be where everyone is…right???
It was a reported sellout after the Mets donated 41,000 seats to Sandy victims.
Ouch. This is just ugly.
Was there last night and it was brutally cold. The coldest I’ve ever been at a game. My friend and I were rocking winter gear with a blanket and it was still just brutal. Went into the Caeser’s Club to warm up and there were probably more people in there than in the stands around the 6th inning. Still, glad I went as it was an amazin’ game.
I’ve attended some early April night games in the past, viciously cold. Felt like an NFL game in late November one night, that’s how cold it was.
I was there, I’ve never seen so many people on the concourse during an inning. People were leaving their seats and walking around just to stay warm.
I was there as well. Section 515.. Lasted until bottom of 6th. Hit Promenade club whic was packed.. But very warm… Went back out for Bottom of 8th. The Latroy kept us there an extra 20 minutes…. Had to go back in for the last out .. My toes were frozen….
That was one of the coldest Mets game I ever attended…
