Mets style Las Vegas 51’s jersey

Here’s a picture of my daughter modeling tonight’s (adult xl) “New York Style Jersey”.  It an inexpensive button-up mesh jersey w/ silkscreened numbers & letters, but a pretty cool design, particularly for Las Vegas-based Mets fans.

Downside: The back of the jersey bears #51 & the alien head logo in place in the nameplate, but it could be worse.  There’s also a patch for the Las Vegas Review Journal on the sleeve that normally bears an affiliate patch.  This stuff is to be expected.

These were given out to the first 2500 fans.  I arrived 20 minutes before the gate opened and their were long lines.  Attendance was 9300, well above average for around here.  (The Mets affiliation seems to have actually helped attendance).  Given the reaction, I’d like to see them produce & sell a higher quality replica version of this jersey.
