But the “retained seats revenue” never met 2009 projections and continues to drop. The Mets reported $99.3 million in ticket revenue in 2009; last year it received only $43.9 million, 67 percent shy of their 2012 projection.
Let’s review: The Mets had unrealistic expectations, and they are failing to meet them. How is this still news, exactly?
This is a direct result of the front office’s arrogance. They do nothing to extend courtesies to ticket holders, and they built a ballpark where seats are at a higher cost and you have limited views of the field.
