I didn’t think Tom got anywhere the amount of crowd noise I was expecting. Are Mets fans getting younger? Were there out of town folks? What did you think?

I was expecting a much louder ovation as well. The out of town crowd didn’t impact the cheers for some older Mets or boos for our rivals. I thought it was a combination of younger Mets and bad timing (a lull between the introductions and the first pitch). I was greatly disappointed in the lack of a standing ovation (just a note – Kiner did not get a large ovation either earlier in the week).
