The August 2013 numbers for MetsPolice.com and not surprisingly they are down. My experience in the 5 years of doing this is that starting in August everyone gets bored with the Mets, and then things pick up again in February. I imagine it is no coincidence that August seems to be the month every year where the team falls apart and February is the start of spring training.
I knew we wouldn’t hit July’s record month (fueled by the All Star Game) but August was pretty disappointing. Even from the writer’s chair there wasn’t all that much going on. I had to go back to January to see traffic levels comparable to August and I knew by August 10th that it was going to be a bad month.
Anyways, the site was up over August 2012. Sometimes that’s all you can ask for. Below are the numbers for those of you who care about such things.
