Does it have to be completely lifeless?
I took yesterday “off” from the Mets/blogging/@metspolice.
I did a marathon training run of 16 miles, then I went to have dinner with my family, then it was 7:30 and I put on Star Trek Into Darkness with a plan I would watch the end of the Mets game – lost my mind and forgot that the clock on my PS3 is off by an our so since it was only “9” – put on an episode of Game of Thrones and then it was 11 something and the Mets were over.
You know what I missed? Nothing.
Here’s a crowd shot from Ron in the second game.
And here’s one from MJ also from the second game
So what did I miss? Nothing.
The Mets are in the business of drawing people in to get us to eyeball their advertisers, buy food and merch. Last night the product just wasn’t worth my time. Time is my most precious commodity and last night I didn’t feel like spending it on Mets baseball.
This afternoon many of you will choose to spend your time with the NFL over Mets-Marlins. This does not make you a bad person. This does not mean you’re not a good Mets fan. There is nothing to support here. The team is openly “burning off innings.” Save your time, never mind your money.
I guess I would have liked to have seen Murph’s home run. Daniel is now .281 11 and 69 with 19 steals and 35 doubles.
if I told you Sandy could bring in a second baseman named Tim Jones from the A’s and Tim Jones would go .281 11 and 69 with 19 steals and 35 doubles you would think it was a great signing. So enjoy what you have Mets fans. You don’t have much but you do have a second baseman.
More Mets baseball today. Show up at Shea Citi Field The Mall Which Is Being Built On Parkland But Nobody Is Paying Any Frakking Attention.
Did you ever connect with the new “CRO”?
