Something does seem to be changing over in Flushing, though; it doesn’t feel like the magical World Series years of 1969 or 1986, or even like 1998, when they acquired Mike Piazza, who was inducted in the Mets Hall of Fame yesterday. But maybe, just maybe, there’s a little 1968 in the air.
