@dtwohig’s Autographed Baseball Cards #56: Phil Hennigan
A member of the 73 Mets (would never have known), he sent this back in 3 1/2 months.

Curious on the rational for these signed cards; What made you choose these players?
Well, I went through all the Mets cards I own (290 different players), pulled out anyone no longer living (18), pulled out many of the superstars (Seaver, Doc, Ryan, PIazza, etc), current players, or guys I already had, and then with the remainder started looking up their addresses.
In the end I mailed cards to 237 different players and 89 mailed them back signed.
For this series I am showing not only the mailed ones, but all the ones I got in person as well.
Ah OK… didn’t know the background. Good luck on the rest, seems pretty cool that they send them back signed. Nice project.
Thanks – it has definitely been fun. My one rule through all of this is that I won’t pay. I have received several cards back without a signature from players asking for money. I’ll be posting those at the end of this series, as well as my plans for all these cards.
