@dtwohig’s Mets Library #29: The New York Mets

Leonard Koppett was one of those classic New York sportswriters from the 40’s through the 60’s.  He probably is best known for his book The Thinking Fan’s Guide to Baseball (Hall of Fame Edition), Koppett also penned a book on the Mets.

Originally published in 1970, The New York Mets was updated following the 1973 season.  This is a great book on the early years of the Mets told by a Hall of Fame writer.
