I just got this email.

I get to buy additional tickets for Opening Day? I better jump on them before they sell out. They have to be close to selling out if I am getting emails like this, right?

Let’s see what the cheapest seats are…

$48 bucks for Opening Day tickets if you already have a plan. That is a big savings from that $50 dollar price point for the general public. $66 bucks for a plan holder to buy in Prom Infield and Box vs$84 for non plan holders in same area.Prom Gold is $92 for Plan Holders vs. $104 Prom Gold as a non plan holder.

I wonder what the actual number of fans that show up is going to be versus the number they say paid attendance is the day of the game. It’s going to be GANGBUSTERS I bet.

Mets Now with $50 Dollar Opening day Tickets

WOW THOSE $63 tickets must  have really sold well. So well that for a “limited” time Mets fans you can buy tickets for $50! I guess the Mets figured hey why the hell not since they must have sold out on all their $63 ticket allotment and had these $50 dollar ones waiting just in case. My only thing is if the $63 ones sold out at that price why aren’t these $50 ones going for closer to $70? Must be a high demand, right?

Not @mediagoon’s Mets Bobbleheads #47: Piazza 50th Anniversary

MetsPolice Mike Piazza 50th Anniversary bobbleheadSince Shannon, Goon, and I have pretty much cleaned out our closets of Mets jerseys (at least for now, we all know there will be more later), I was thinking where can we go from here.  Easy answer – who doesn’t love bobbleheads?

The fourth of the 50th Anniversary bobbleheads in our series is Mike Piazza.  Remarkable they did not portray him in a black jersey (though I get twitches every time I see that hybrid cap).

Did Santana Commit Career Suicide? | The John Delcos New York Mets Report

If you aren’t reading Delcos every day you are really missing out.  John wrote about the March 3rd go-hose-yourself throwing session, but me and my dead horse like harping on this….

Did Collins make a mistake leaving Santana in for 134 pitches, thinking he was giving the pitcher a shot at a career moment and Mets’ fans their lone bright spot in what would be a dark summer?

Check my twitter feed.  I commented in the 5th inning about pitch count.  I know you all get mad at me for saying it but Santana should have been told in the 5th that he wasn’t going 9.
