Very interesting. Did someone tell Wright? Because I went back a year and here are the 2013 ZiPS projected stats for Wright:
610 PA .274 BA, 19 Hr, 85 RBI, 18 SB.
In reality:
492 PA, .307 BA, 18 Hr, 58 RBI, 17 SB.
So, to sum in 120 less PA David nearly matched the “projections” of home runs and stolen bases and blew the “projection” of Batting Average out of the water. These are items he’s directly responsible for and not so much for RBI. BTW, Projected 2013 WAR: 4.0. David’s ACTUAL 2013 WAR:5.8.
A healthy David is all I ask for and the usual MVP stats will come.
