I got in 12 hours of sports yesterday.
Three soccer games…in and out on the Mets game…and of course this.
Somehow it went super quick. I started bobbing and weaving during the OT and honestly woke up at some point to see someone skating around with a large trophy.
What’s relevant to this blog is how the Mets slipped way down the list of irrelevancy. I was more interested in Chile-Australia than the start of the Mets game (which turned out to be delayed anyway) and baseball couldn’t at all compete with the hockey game.
Not that I am giving up on the Mets. I’ll be out there today…but there will be plenty of World Cup in the mix, and Father’s Day is sure to involve lots of pool-side slingboxing.
