Good news! An update to my last post….
#Mets will wear a patch with the late Frank Cashen’s initials.

The patch will be worn on the right sleeve below the Ralph Kiner patch. It will debut Friday, when Mets return to Citi Field.

The original post from 2:53pm is below and was written before any patch announcement was made. It was something on my mind as I mowed the lawn. I am glad to see that the Mets were on it.
Oh Mets you make it so hard sometimes. It’s the little things that you get wrong every time.
Let me make this argument easy: Frank Cashen is in the Mets Hall of Fame.
That’s it. You put him in the elite. Not me, you.
So please wear a black armband for him for the remainder of the season. I’ll give you an unnecessary free pass for tonight so you can draft a press announcement and use the off day to get this done, but please have this on the home uniform Friday night.
I really can’t think of any reason not to.
metspolice Mets Because he had nothing to do with the Brooklyn Dodgers
metspolice Can they afford Cashen patches for everyone. FC can now roll in his grave watching the Wilpons destroy the team he resurrected.
