Here’s what we’re doing. We are crowdsourcing 41 ideas for the Mets. The ideas can be big or small. Email me your idea at [email protected]. Today’s idea is from Ryan.
– It would be cool to have an old-timey string band walk around before games (outside and/or in the concourse) playing a twangy banjo instrumental version of “Meet the Mets.” I’m picturing the kinds of “cast members” that walk around Main Street USA at Disney World – dress ’em up in turn-of-the-century blue-and-orange-tinged outfits replete with straw hats and turn ’em loose. The stadium is designed to look old-timey, might as well embrace it more. (On that note, have gotten the sense that they’re pulling back on “Meet the Mets” at games this year – this is a mistake).
