High cholesterol is a major risk factor for heart disease and an estimated 31.9 million Americans have total cholesterol levels >240 mg/dL. Only 1 out of every 3 adults with high cholesterol has the condition under control. Since there are no signs or symptoms of high cholesterol, getting your cholesterol checked with a simple blood test is the only way to know if you have high cholesterol. It is important that cholesterol levels are kept within healthy limits.
Tickets are on sale for the September 15 Cholesterol Health Awareness Night by phone at (718) 507-TIXX, and in person at the Jackie Robinson Rotunda ticket windows.
