This season has been an unqualified success. The Mets seem likely to win at least three games in two weeks which will put them ahead of last year’s 74 wins, they are in Fake 3rd Place (check the loss column) and within eyeshot of second place.
Plus this tidbit (which may be inconvenient in the case you fired someone for not selling tickets which I am not saying you did)
After 71 games, they had sold 45 more tickets this year than at the same point last year. (via NY Times)
That’s right, ticket sales are UP. Wins are UP.
