During the season we did a series of crowdsourcing Amazin’ Ideas for the Mets. It got such a big reaction that we went way over, and I decided to save a few ideas for the long off-season. And now here we are.
Ideas can be big or small. Today’s idea is from @StevenNYM65 another victim of my inability to keep my inbox clean and by the time I got to his I had filled the 41 slots. However, now it is the winter and we need cool topics so…
Free Shirt Fridays tee shirts should come in sizes. Giving away tee shirts is a great idea, and let’s be honest, it’s an incentive for fans to buy tickets. However, the shirts are all extra-large. I went to see the Mets in Nationals Park, and it happened to be a tee shirt giveaway day. To my surprise, they had boxes of shirts in all sizes; you just asked for the size you wanted! Unless you wear an extra-large, the Mets Free Shirt Fridays shirts – while they look great – might not be much of an incentive to buy tickets, because for many people they are not practical to wear. Provide sizes and make them something that most adults and kids can wear, and they will be more of a worthwhile ticket-buying incentive.
