Hey it’s your favorite Capitalist Bloggers here to tell you about one of our partners, Alternative Sports Talk Radio.
So here’s the deal. You know how sometimes you just cannot take another second of what’s coming out of the AM/FM radio whether it’s that host you cannot stand, or another useless 20/20 update or traffic report? Well, AltSportsTalk is to provide you with an Alternative.
Not everything will be for everyone, and I don’t expect you to make a permanent switch. Consider it a choice. When you can’t stand the usual thing, pop over and see what’s on.
AltSportsTalk takes a different approach to sports radio. It’s long form programming with next to no commercials (occasionally someone does a live read), no interruptions, and AST also mixes in some pop-culture along with the sports talk.
There are a variety of shows but I’ll focus on the stuff that is closer to what we talk about here on MetsPolice.com which is baseball, and a few people you may know.
Every morning at 8am we air Dennis Has A Podcast. I know a lot of you know Dennis Holden from various Mets outings. Dennis is in the pop culture category but I lead with him because a lot of you know him, and frankly 8am seems to be when a lot of us throw shoes at our radios.
At 9am, Sully Baseball is a daily baseball podcast. Sully also runs at 3pm which is right around when you could use a break from you know who.
And the Queens Baseball Convention‘s QBC Recap Show is also in the mix.
I’m a big fan of The Bower Show at 10am (replays at noon and 4pm) which is just a fun show with a bit of “FM Talk” vibe without going down the gutter.
