Update: about those Mets ticket fees…

Hi there,

I have decided to at least temporarily withdraw a post from earlier today related to “Amazin’ Fees.”

The larger point I wish to illustrate are fees in general.  I went through the process right now and tried to buy a ticket in 504, which is unavailable so I took what was offered in 508.

So there’s an $18 ticket…with a convenience fee that might save you $25 in tolls but what is the convenience in the age of e-tickets and print-at-home.  Then we see the $6 per order fee that again covers what?

I have to run out now and Media Goon if you are around feel free to jump in on this one.

More later…I can’t strand my kid at the park in the rain.

UPDATE 9:30pm:

OK, I’m so confused now.  The Mets tweeted at the original dude with the Amazin Fees screenshot and said they don’t have such a fee.  ‘Goon and I are unable to find such a fee, but if the Mets say there isn’t such a fee then that’s that.

Since then, the Mets tweet seems to be gone and the original dude seems to have quit twitter.

ANYWAY, moving along, the current status is that there are no such things as Amazin Fees, and for that we can all be glad.  LGM.
