The Mets infield defense sucks and you can’t blame Murphy

How do you like the lineup with Murphy in it so far?
How do you like the lineup with Murphy in it so far?

Did you notice the Mets infield defense is atrocious?

Did you notice that every ball hit to the left side is an adventure?

Did you notice the Mets can’t turn double plays?

Did you notice Murph isn’t playing, so you can’t blame him?

Maybe Murph isn’t so bad a player after all? .290 hitters don’t grow on trees (and if they did the trees would be cut down to put up a mall). Maybe this guy is worth having around?

  1. Murphy would also easily be the best hitter in the line up too. His defense is not really that bad. He makes a spectacular play every so often and handles all the routine plays. His base running does make you cringe once in a while. I would rather have Murphy then Dilson. Bases loaded two outs who else on the Mets would you rather come to the plate? Certainly not Dilson. The Maverick does not seem to like Murphy. Maybe he swings at too many first pitches. The Maverick seems to like the little league approach of trying to get a walk. Keith Hernandez has had many comments about not taking first pitch fastballs down the pipe. I pay my ticket money to see players like Daniel Murphy. If the Mets don’t sign him , I have plenty of other things to with my time and money.
