The creator of @the7line responds….

2012 mets spring training opening day metspolice 076

Much has been written and said about the Atlanta outing and Thundersticksgate.

Personally I am finding most of the people disturbed by the outing were not there or are generally misinformed.  Keith @medigaoon was there and this was his take.  But why not hear from the founder of the t-shirt empire and the organizer of the trip himself?  Darren has posted an excellent post over on his site.  Please read it:  No thunder sticks? | The 7 Line

  1. Re the chop – I remember years ago  (90’s I’d say) at a game at Shea there were for some reason a large number of Braves fans in the section I was in – and when the Braves jumped to something like a 7 run lead they were all with the chop – when the Mets came back to tie the game – on a three run homer that hit the netting on the left field foul pole – the mets fans around me (and myself) did the chop ourselves. it’s fun memory.
