Dear Mr. SNY,
I enjoy your coverage of the baseball games very much.
However, it is driving me increasingly batty that you will not show Terry’s post-game press conference live or nearly-live. Nightly, I turn off your broadcast and get my information from other sources (twitter), which neither of us want. I would love to watch your Sponsored Coverage Of Terry’s Slow Meltdown, but you insist on waiting a good twenty minutes.
I have some theories, possibly all incorrect.
1. There is some MLB rule I am unaware of that prevents you from doing this.
OK, that would make sense on your end. Sorry to have bothered you.
2. Technology stands in the way
I dunno, U2 seems able to stream live concert footage to my my iPhone pretty easily. Astronauts took phone calls from Nixon on the moon. Seems like there must be a way to get video signals from a stadium to my houal-time in real time.
3. Technology stands in the way part 2
Maybe you don’t want to go live or feel it is better tightened up. Well, buy Timmy the intern a macbook and have him do some down and dirty editing and have him FTP the thing back to New York in a jiffy. This shouldn’t take 25 minutes.
4. You really want us to watch Nelson and Gary.
Sure, we like them. But what I want is to hear Terry, and then have Nelson and Gary react to that. I don’t need highlights of the game I just watched for three hours. This isn’t 1984. I can get highlights oj the inter webs pretty easily. Re-think the sequence.
Thank you for reading this, and I look forward to coverage of today’s game!
