As you know, I like my baseball jerseys.
My latest is the Mets 2015 Stars and Stripes jersey which is really cool to me because it’s a road jersey. I don’t think we’ve had any road holiday jerseys from Majestic Athletic before, so I was happy to add this one to my collection. The NEW YORK looks pretty snazzy doesn’t it?
For years, this next one was my go-to holiday jersey and I had this one before MLB went all-in on the holiday themed jerseys. I think I got this one at the Mets store, and it has gotten many years of use.
I like that design a lot and wish that it had seen game use.
Next, we have one that I own this one from 2014. I think the stars pattern works better in the 2015 N E W Y O R K than it did in Mets.
I know some people get mad at the variant jerseys but I think they are kind of fun. Like anything, too much of something can be annoying, and when we have camo, other camo, stars and stripes and everything else, it can become too much.
On the other extreme, I love one-offs. I collect uni-corns as I call them. I would love to own one of these Baltimore home jerseys but I don’t think they ever went on sale.
I did grab some of the Cubs’ one-offs last year including this one…
And my share of New York Giants throwbacks. I love that they make these types. and always grab “uni-corns” when I can.
Anyway, baseball jerseys are awesome! If you’re ever looking to buy someone something or need a gift idea for baseball fans, head on over to the Majestic Athletic site and load up. The new Cool Base material is great and super comfortable. I’d say you should get a Murphy 28 (everyone should own one) but of course you can personalize.
And don’t be shy about going “wacky” – I love the You Own This Mets Jersey series of posts. Nothing is better than seeing a random personalized baseball jersey like these.
So what’s your favorite baseball jersey in your closet? Hit me up in the comments and let me know.
