Dammit….this was a fun post to write….Now Sandy is saying there wasn’t and won’t be a trade for Carlos Gomez…This is getting X-Filesish….
So, Carlos Gomez for Zack Wheeler and Wilmer Flores. Gomez is a center fielder. Does Juan Lagares get moved from CF to one of the corners? What happens to Conforto? Does he go back to Triple A? Has Cuddyer picked out his seat on the bench yet? All this and more on the next episode of SOAP…(look that reference up kids)
Seriously though, Mets making moves adding pieces to get this team going towards the playoffs. Who would have thought all this would be going on at this point in the season? I’m just curious if this is it or will there be another move before the dust settles.
Jon Heyman has confirmed that the Brewers have agreed to trade outfielder Carlos Gomez to the Mets. Heyman has also confirmed that right-hander Zack Wheeler and infielder Wilmer Flores will be headed to Milwaukee in the deal.
As for people complaining about the Mets being mean to Flores (crying) for leaving him in the game…. THERE’S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL…
