The internet tells me that the Mets primary pursuit this off-season is Ben Zobrist.
Am I totally missing something here on his baseball card?
They want to give a 34 year old guy a contract so he can hit .265 17 and 77? And don’t forget power numbers take a dive in Queens.
Other interwebs tell me that Zobrist could get 4/60.
Then I keep reading that if (when, the Mets ain’t giving him 4/60) that their BACKUP plan is Murph.
Here we go again. Dick Murph around, and when everything else fails turn to Murph.
This time I hope Murph tells them to screw off. Play your Dilson Herrera or whoever your third choice is. You had eight years to appreciate the guy and never once did. At least the fanbase finally came to its senses this October.
Move on Murph. Go sign somewhere else where you’ll be appreciated and welcomed. Don’t be a second choice for this stupid team that has not won the World Series in THIRTY SEASONS and would have had a 4 game playoff run if not for you. Why sign here so they can start rolling over Dilson the first time you go 0 for 4. Move on buddy.
