Before we dive in, let me say loud and clear, I want nothing more than for David Wright to be healthy and happy and playing almost every day and leading the Mets to a World Series victory.
Sandy has floated that Wright will play 130 games or so.
Wilmer Flores is still here, had a pretty good season, they went to the World Series with him at SS, and yet at age 24 finds himself without a position.
Do the Mets intend to trade Wilmer? Have they decided at age 24 that he’s a utility player? That would be an odd thing to cast someone who hit 15 HRs as at age 24.
Are the Mets being cautious and wise protecting themselves?
Why make the 130 games declaration? Statements like innings caps and games caps always get blown up by the media and fat bloggers blogging on a cold Sunday. Why do it?
Is the truth out there?
