FLUSHING, N.Y., February 24, 2016 – The New York Mets today announced that Styx, one of the most popular rock groups of all time, will perform at Citi Field Saturday, August 13 after the Mets take on the San Diego Padres at 7:10 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at mets.com/concerts.
Styx has sold over 17.5 million albums and has had eight Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 list, including:

Styx is the first band to have four consecutive Multi-Platinum albums that have sold 2 million units each. The Grand Illusion (1977), Pieces of Eight (1978), Cornerstone (1979) and Paradise Theatre (1981). Paradise Theatre, a concept album, became their biggest hit reaching No. 1 on the Billboard pop albums chart and yielding five top ten singles.
The Saturday postgame performance will be the group’s exclusive summer appearance in the New York area and will begin approximately 20 minutes after the conclusion of the game from a stage in the outfield behind second base. Admission to the concert is included in the price of the game ticket.
Singer-songwriter Andy Grammer will headline the previously announced postgame concert at Citi Field scheduled for Saturday, June 18 when the Mets play host to the Atlanta Braves starting at 8:15 p.m.
