Matt Harvey didn’t speak with the media today after his third straight poor start. It is believed that he is/was upset at the media because of the recent headlines with urination related puns.
First, I know we all need to sell newspapers and get clicks, but the MSM was on the wrong side here. If anyone had taken two seconds to google “blood clot in urine” you would have noticed that a blood clot in urine is a possible sign of bladder cancer. How is that funny? Your newspaper/radio show/etc was jerky. You should apologize to Matt.
.And yeah I spent the entire winter goofing on Matt. You will notice I went out of my way to NOT do it when I heard medical issue. It’s one thing to bust balls with a guy because he acts 12 on late night TV, it’s another thing to goof on a guy who maybe perhaps possibly could have bladder cancer.
So MSM, you were jerks.
But on to Matt….Dude, you can’t do this. You can’t be The Dark Knight, and have an ESPN Movie about you, and go on late night TV like a 12 year old, and do fashion shoots for the Post, and be some sort of Fashion Ambassador, and shop for expensive sneakers, and do all the LOOK AT ME stuff you do, and then hide when some dopey headline editor makes a joke.
Man Up and talk to the media. Hell, even tell them they are a bunch of a-holes. But don’t hide.
Oh and back to the MSM…I await your clever “Matt Harvey Is Pissed” puns in tomorrow’s paper. Think twice.
