The Mets are completely unwatchable right now.
I don’t mean they suck, they just have an awful television schedule.
I actually forgot Thursday’s game existed. I don’t mean that I was cranky that t was on late, I totally forgot it existed. I was even watching TV until midnight, but a 10pm start wasn’t in my brain.
Last night, the family and I sat down for a The Office marathon. In case you haven’t noticed on twitter, (@metspolice) I love the show.
Anyway they went to bed around 10:30 and I put on the Mets game and was like…why do I even want to get involved with this? I had no interest in chasing a game until 2am, so I just ignored it.
Tonight, 8:40. Bad but workable, except I have plans with Mrs. MP.
Tomorrow, 4:40pm ET. Maybe I can catch some of that, but it is a Soccer Sunday (my problem not yours).
Monday-Thursday are four straight school night 10:10’s. That’s rough and asking a lot.
Next weekend the Rockies make it half-way OK with some seemingly early 8:40, 8:10, 4:10 ET starts.
But then…finally…the Murph (.406 AVG this morning by the way) will come back to Citi Field on May 17th for a run of 7:10s. Maybe then I can finally settle into the season. See you in 10 days Mets?
