As you know I spend a lot of time on Twitter.
Earlier this summer many Mets fans seemed to be extremely concerned about domestic violence, as they should be.
More recently I have noticed that fans are less vocal about their passion for that topic, and have chosen to re-focus their energy on exciting baseball.
I am not at all surprised. Exciting baseball tends to forgive all sins. Meanwhile, if Jay Bruce gets caught jaywalking this week he will likely be publicly shamed. Such is life here in the Big Apple.
