Sometimes when I need inspiration for one of these posts I just pop through the old photos on the site and see what I find. Today, I stumbled across this.
Justin Turner wasn’t great as a Mets player or even all that important as a Mets player, but I did enjoy his time here. I even had the occasion to hang with him a little once and he seemed cool.
Since departing he has gone on to be a better player (maybe the Mets should stop and analyze why that keeps happening), and unless you think he should be the everyday Mets 3B, there was no role for him here.
Anyway, on this Saturday, here’s to memories of Justin Turner.
