The Morning Laziness waits for no one, except for me, and I like to sleep in on weekends.
If you are new, the Morning Laziness is your source for links in a post-Rubin era, however unlike the old briefing, the laziness is designed for you to NOT click on links, since most of what’s out there is boring and obvious. Thus, I do the chore of summarizing.
The Mets renewed Syndergaard’s contract for $605,500. This is a perfect example of the Morning Laziness. You could click that link, or you could ask yourself if you really need to know anything other than that. You don’t.
#TheNarrative is that you’re supposed to be like Stupid Cheap Mets as if they are supposed to give more money to a player than they have to. They don’t and they shouldn’t.
Where we should praise Noah is in his disdain for the WBC. Noah is focused on winning the World Series and making the Hall of Fame. Amen brother.
And, the MSM has noticed Noah will be in Game of Thrones as an extra even though that was in the paper the other day.
In a rare piece of Someone Wrote Something Interesting For A Change, a scout thinks Cespedes should play RF not left or center.
In other boringness:
More David Wright articles (yawn)
Duda is playing again today (at DH)
If you want to follow today’s game…well I am sure 9 beat reporters will do twitter lay by play because there is no local TV nor local radio. You could use the MLB App and catch the Astros feed on KBME at 1pm – you might even enjoy how their commercials sound without the annoying LOUDNESS and Todd Schnitt promos. I think I just convinced myself.
