Hooray for the Rays on having Banner Day yesterday. Unfortunately there does not seem to be any photographic evidence that it actually happened, but there is at least a newspaper claiming it did. I think I will break out my Rays faxback in solidarity.
I can’t kill the Mets for not having Banner Day since you guys didn’t support it (well not YOU GUYS, Mets Police readers supported it) ….so Banner Day lives in the past and in Tampa.
Okay, most of the banners Saturday were actually posters, and most of them said “Let’s Go Rays.” What did you want on short notice, the Sistine Chapel ceiling? Give them a few years. But what’s wrong with several hundred people enjoying themselves by holding up signs, all of them tasteful?
